Food-grade citric acid anhydrous (E330) from EU-audited supply chain. CAS 77-92-9, purity ≥99.5%, Certificate of Analysis per batch. Delivered to all 27 EU member states via DSV.
Citric acid anhydrous — food additive E330, CAS 77-92-9 — is one of the most widely produced organic acids globally, used across food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cleaning and cosmetic manufacturing. FDCM supplies food-grade citric acid anhydrous from EU stock in quantities from 25 kg with no framework contracts required.
The product meets the purity criteria of Commission Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 and complies with Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 on food additives (E330, quantum satis in most food categories). Pharmaceutical-grade material conforming to Ph. Eur. specifications is available on request. Each batch ships with a full Certificate of Analysis (CoA) covering purity, moisture, sulfated ash, heavy metals and microbiological parameters.
As a B2B wholesale supplier operating across all 27 EU member states, FDCM offers fast dispatch via DSV road freight, competitive per-kg pricing from 25 kg to full container loads, and complete documentation for quality-managed production environments.

From carbonated beverages to descaling tablets — E330 is one of the most versatile organic acids across food, pharma, home care and industrial production.
Primary acidulant in carbonated drinks, fruit juices, energy drinks and sports beverages. Controls pH, enhances freshness and flavour, stabilises colour. Typical dosage: 0.5–3 g/L depending on product type.
Sour coating component in acid-panned candies, fruit gums and chews. pH regulator that enhances pectin and gelatine gel formation in fruit jellies and pastilles. Creates the characteristic sharp sour note in citric-coated products.
Chelating agent and descaler in dishwasher tablets, laundry detergents and industrial cleaners. Forms stable complexes with calcium and magnesium ions, dissolving limescale deposits. Preferred over strong mineral acids for safety and biodegradability.
pH regulator and solubility enhancer in tablets, effervescent formulations and liquid dosage forms. Reacts with sodium bicarbonate to generate CO₂ in effervescent tablets. Pharmaceutical grade (Ph. Eur.) available on request for GMP environments.
Inhibits enzymatic browning and microbial growth through pH reduction. Used in canned goods, jams, sauces and frozen fruit as an antioxidant synergist and acidulant. Extends shelf life when combined with other preservatives.
pH adjuster in shampoos, skin care formulations and cleansing creams. Buffering agent in AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) formulations. Chelating agent for heavy metal traces in water-based formulations.
Citric acid (E330) is authorised as a food additive under Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council. In most food categories it is permitted at quantum satis — meaning the quantity used must not exceed what is necessary to achieve the intended technological function. Purity criteria are defined in Commission Regulation (EU) No 231/2012.
Citric acid contains no allergens and is not derived from GM organisms. It is generally compatible with Halal and Kosher requirements — certificates available for eligible batches on request.
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) per production batch covering purity, moisture, sulfated ash, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium) and microbiological parameters. Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), allergen declaration and non-GMO statement are available on request at no additional charge.
Pharmaceutical-grade citric acid (Ph. Eur.) with full GMP batch release documentation is available on request for regulated production environments.
